ORIGINAL Vintage Autograph of "Louis Satchmo Armstrong" (as he signed it). Signed on the back of an Entertainment Schedule Card. He was playing an engagement at the Colonial Hotel on Beautiful Lake Manitou in Rochester, Indiana. IN Ind. That is in Fulton County, Indiana. This was one June 29, 1954. This must have been a popular spot because the card that is autographed shows a schedule of other performers coming to the Colonial Hotel to play. They were "The Fabulous Dorseys", "Buddy Morrow", "Les Brown", "Ralph Flanagan", "Count Basie", "The Commanders", "Lew Brown", "Tex Beneke", "Tony Pastor", "Pee Wee Hunt" and "Ray Anthony". Those were great days when people loved to dress up and go out for an evening of music and dancing. What happened? This card has been kept in a hard plastic case but there is some light staining as shown in the photo. This is a great piece of music memorabilia.
