A very rare
IN-PERSON signed Bert Lahr autograph. Best known for his immortal role as the
"Cowardly Lion" in the "Wizard of OZ". Below tells the story of how
this was obtained in the late 50's. A chance to own one of the rarest of the OZ cast
signatures!! $600 Some time in the late 50's or early 60's, my parents drove from Upstate New York to Florida's east coast on vacation by way of US 301 and the partially completed I-95. During a lunch stop at South of the Border in Dillon, SC, my mother met Bert Lahr, the Cowardly Lion in the Wizard of Oz, and got his autograph on a South of the Border post card. This is the post card. It is written in ink. |
