President Lincoln appoints “Benjamin F. Trumbull of Illinois...to be
receiver of Public Moneys for the district of lands subject to sale as
Omaha, Nebraska territory.” Signed at the bottom “Abraham
Lincoln,” and countersigned by Secretary of the Interior
Smith. Nicely dark preserved signature. Double gilt matted and framed
with a color portrait of Lincoln, to an overall size of 27 x 37. In very
good condition, with moderate horizontal and vertical folds, one through
a single letter of first name of signature, a light shade of overall
toning, with a heavier strip to right side and some light creases to
right side as well. TWO COA's from the two top PSA presidential
autograph experts in the country.
