Johnny Weissmuller Autographed Lithographic Poster (Nostalgia Merchant, 1977). Olympic swimmer and movie star Johnny Weissmuller made history when he became the first person to swim 100 meters in less than one minute, but he's mostly remembered as the star of the 12 Tarzan movies made by MGM between 1932 and 1948. Featured here is a Near Mint condition color montage poster of characters from the Tarzan movies, number 41 of a limited edition of 1,500, signed in black felt pen by Weismuller.  As far as I know there were four of the autographed posters made in 1977.  Tarzan as you see here, Mae West, Wizard of Oz ) signed by both Bolger and Haley) and Roy Rogers.  The stars were commissioned to signed a limited number of these (1000 or 1500).  They were spectacular lithographs depicting the stars in their immortal roles.  Each about 20x30”.  Incredible authentically signed treasures from vintage Hollywood .
